An Entryway Interactive Experience

The Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve is launching a new entryway interactive kiosk! This interactive kiosk is the first stage of a multi-phase collaboration to overhaul their Coastal Educational Center with new digital media experiences. To kick start this process, Night Kitchen Interactive is leading a digital discovery and developing a pilot interactive kiosk that greets visitors upon entering the Coastal Educational Center.

The kiosk allows visitors to explore tidal shifts, learn about the local fauna and wildlife, view their calendar and event scheduling, join volunteering opportunities and more! It utilizes drone videography and photography, tidal simulations, and a variety of other content to educate visitors about the importance of the Reserve and the role of estuaries in the local ecosystem.

This initial digital strategic engagement is exploring opportunities to connect with guests using digital media throughout the Coastal Education Center. In the next phase we will equip the foyer, classroom, and two conference rooms with digital hardware that can be built to flexibly accommodate a variety of interpretive, educational, or practical uses by the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve educational team.
